Strawberry Matcha Ice Cream: Ninja Creami Recipes

Because I looooove matcha and have been dying for strawberry Ice Cream, I am using my Ninja Creami Ice cream maker to whip up a healthy protein ice cream recipe that will satisfy your sweet tooth, is a high protein dessert, and you get all of the beneficial effects of matcha at the same time. This one was SO AMAZING, and if you don’t have a Ninja Creami but you’re an ice cream lover, I highly suggest you get one! So great for the summer, if you have children, or honestly if you just want a high protein dessert. ENJOY! 🍡

How to make protein ice cream in a Ninja Creami

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen organic strawberries

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 splash vanilla extract

  • 1 scoop Truvani Matcha protein powder

  • 1 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder (I love and use Art of Tea; use code BDWellness for 10% off any product 🍡)

  • 3 tbsps honey or maple syrup

  • Optional toppings: chocolate chips, honey, fresh strawberries, a drizzle of matcha powder.

Prep the night before:

  • In a blender, blend the almond milk, honey, protein powder, matcha powder, and yogurt until smooth.

  • Add in the frozen strawberries and blend until well combined (it’s okay if it’s slightly chunky).

  • Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and freeze overnight.

The day of:

  • Insert the frozen pint into the machine and select Ice Cream or Lite Ice Cream mode. Spin the ninja creami.

  • If crumbly, add 1-2 tbsp almond milk and re-spin until creamy.

  • Top with toppings and enjoy your low sugar, high protein, beautiful matcha dessert. 🀎🍡
