Chocolate Chesnut Banana Smoothie

Hi. 🖤 Happy Wednesday!

This week, I’ve been so fortunate to work a few extra days, to connect with a new friend in New York, and to be able to create recipes, blogs, and experiment on ideas for the future of this brand. Exciting things are to come. 🤍

For this #wellnesswednesday, I created a banana chocolate with a side of chesnuts, one of my favorite (and most underrated) foods. It’s full of healthy fats from avocado, cacao, and chia seeds, collagen to help with skin and overall beauty, and hidden greens for extra vitamins and minerals. Since it’s winter, I also used fresh fruit instead of frozen so you don’t get too cold. I’ll always love a smoothie because it it the best and easiest way to get a ton of nutrients, but I don’t want it that cold when it’s already cold outside.

Be well and enjoy. 💋

Ingredients:

  • 1 large ripe banana

  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds

  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen

  • 1/2 fresh avocado

  • 1 handful fresh or frozen spinach

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (I’ve been loving the 3 ingredient Califa Farms)

  • 2 pitted dates or 1 tablespoon local honey if you want it a bit sweeter

  • Toppings:

    • Fresh walnuts

    • Fresh chestnuts

    • Granola (I’ve been loving B.Fine)

    • Almond butter

    • Fresh banana slices

Recipe:

  • Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender until smooth. Add toppings on top or on the side to much on, or simply enjoy with a straw.

Dedicated to my girl Jenny. 🖤
