Easy and Healthy PB&J Smoothie

Inspired by my boyfriend who has been making PB&J’s for lunch occasionally (so nostalgic!), I decided to make the most delicious high protein PB&J smoothie. It’s a healthy option for kids and adults (me!) that keeps you full, satisfied, and one that you’ll want to come back to over and over again this summer — and winter. Please enjoy. 🖤

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 fresh banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen dark cherries

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

  • Small handful of spinach

  • 1/4 cup no sugar added greek, cashew, almond, or coconut milk yogurt, whatever your preference

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice (I love Truvani and Ritual)

  • 2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter

  • 1 tsp chia seeds (adds thickness and so much fiber and omega 3’s!)

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, optional

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, milk of choice, or filtered water.

Recipe:

  • Blend all ingredients in a high powered blender until smooth, approximately 1-2 minutes. If you have a Vitamix, I find it easiest to start low and slowly go up to a medium-high setting. Add more milk if needed.

  • Take a small spoonful of yogurt and use the back of the spoon to spread evenly on the inside of your glass. Pour the smoothie in, top with a dollop of peanut butter or granola, and enjoy. 🖤
