Morning Energizing Fall Smoothie

For the second smoothie of my #septembersummersmoothieseries, here’s a chocolatey, espresso, banana smoothie that is creamy, filled with healthy fats, and will definitely perk you up! For room temperature (if it’s cooler where you are in September or you’re sensitive to cold), use a room temperature banana. If you’re somewhere where it’s still not in September (where I am), then use 1 cup frozen banana or freeze before.

Ingredients:

  • 1 fresh banana or 1 1/2 cups frozen banana

  • 1/2 fresh zucchini

  • 2 shots fresh espresso, cooled or 4 ounces brewed coffee, cooled

  • 1/4 cup gluten-free oats

  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder (I love Navitas)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • t tbsps almond butter

  • 1 scoop collagen (I use Garden of Life)

  • 1 handful fresh spinach

  • 3/4 cup soymilk or any unsweetened plant based milk

Recipe:

  • Place all ingredients into a high powered blender and blend until smooth. Top with toppings and enjoy fresh. XO
